The criminal invasion of Ukraine by Russia, resulted in a number of fund raising events to support the Ukrainians, and this joint venture by the two folk clubs saw us invited to play along with Gary Wooley (of Kelly and Wooley), The Larks and Sound Tradition. The room was bursting with audience, and the whole evening was quite emotive. For all of us, as performers, it added an extra layer of inspiration to our performances. It was an amazing evening to be part of, and we were proud to have given one of our tightest performances in support of Ukraine. We closed our set with our new version of Sydney Carters “Crow on the Cradle”, which seemed highly appropriate in the circumstances.
